Mark Belfield, Director undertook the Great Manchester Run back in May in order to raise money for Headway. Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury. It provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as to professionals in the health and legal fields.
Mark heads up the catastrophic injury team at Thorneycroft Solicitors, specialists in dealing with Brain Injury claims and deals with Headway to help the support and recovery of his clients.
Mark presented the fundraising cheque at the Stockport branch office to Janet Penny, Chairperson for Stockport and Manchester. Helping raise the money were business partners of Thorneycroft, friends, family and people whose lives have been affected by brain injury.
Mark said ‘Headway is a charity close to my heart as they have played such an important role in the recovery of many of my clients. Seeing first-hand the work they do at the Stockport branch office was really inspiring. The organisation depends predominantly on volunteers and donations and the reaction gratitude I received made my donation feel incredibly worthwhile.’
Headway has a network of centres around the country offering advice, information, activities and a listening ear. An opportunity to socialise, make new friends and try new activities. They provide a range of information, advice and signposting.
