30th anniversary of BASIC – the Brain And Spinal Injury Centre in Salford

We were delighted to be accepted onto the BASIC (Brain and Spinal Injury Charity) Solicitors Panel back in January 2013 and are proud to still be with them to celebrate their 30th anniversary. The charity’s roots began back in 1986 when Bolton businessman Derek Gaskell registered a charity ‘Neurosurgical Research’ after a traumatic experience with his wife, Dorothy.

TS Group Ltd continues to evolve as directors purchase equity shareholding

We are delighted to announce some very exciting news.

We yesterday completed on a deal that sees Financial Director Sue Carnwell, and Head of Catastrophic Injury/Large Loss Director Mark Belfield purchasing an equity shareholding in the business TS Group Ltd.

It also sees CEO Rachel Stow increasing her shareholding in the business.

TSGroup Ltd was set up last year when Thorneycroft Solicitors became an Alternative Business Structure (ABS), allowing the introduction of non-legal ownership. As well as Thorneycroft Solicitors Ltd., TS Group ownership comprises three other companies: a majority share in full-service accident management company Bankstone; and specialist PI brands Claimant Law and Cycle Assist. As well as funding provider OnClaims and Rehabilitation facilitator CMS.

Melanoma Gala is a huge success and raises £20,000

The 2016 Melanoma Gala Dinner took place at the end of last month, on the 25^th of June, and what a wonderful event it was! A great time was had by all and we were delighted to be sponsoring such an amazing event which raises monies to support patients and families affected by the deadly skin cancer, Melanoma.

Melanoma UK gives valuable support to skin cancer sufferers

Living in the UK, with our appalling summers and limited sunshine, you would think that we don’t have too many skin cancer sufferers – well you would be very wrong. According to Skin Cancer Foundation Statistics, in the last 30 yrs, more people have had skin cancer than all other cancers combined and each year 132,000 melanoma skin cancers occur globally, according to the World Health Organisation.
