We are pleased to note that the Office of the Public Guardian (“OPG”) is offering a refund of part of the costs previously paid for registering Powers of Attorney.
This applies to Powers of Attorney registered between April 2013 and March 2017 and arises because the OPG fees have now been reduced. The refund for each Power will be between £34 and £54.
You should apply for the refund directly from the OPG – www.gov.uk<http://www.gov.uk> (search for power of attorney refunds) or you can call the helpline on 0300 456 0300 (choose option 6).
