A teenager is fighting for his life after being found on the tarmac in the early hours of the morning. Emergency services responded to calls of an incident at around 1am and a rapid response paramedic team arrived to find a man in a serious condition.
After roadside assessment, paramedics found their patient had suffered a serious head injury in the accident and needed to be transported immediately to the local trauma unit.
They anesthetised him and provided specialist A&E care all the way to hospital.
A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision in the early hours of this morning.
“As a result the victim, who is in his teens, was taken by ambulance to… Hospital ……. with serious head injuries.
His condition remains serious.
