North West Air Ambulance crews came to the rescue once again after an accident occurred on a busy A road just outside Chester. A motorcyclist had to receive emergency treatment after being dismounted from his bike during rush hour.
The collision occurred between the motorcycle and a Range Rover and the motorcyclist, who is thought to be in his 30s, sustained a serious head injury. Emergency crews responded promptly to the scene and Police secured the area and diverted traffic whilst paramedics assessed the injured parties.
The motorcyclist needed to be taken to a trauma unit urgently and a North West Air Ambulance was contacted to assist with transporting him.
A Police spokesperson said: “At 7.52am this morning police received reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a Range Rover.
“The rider of the motorbike sustained serious injuries and has been airlifted to Hospital. Road closures are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.”
