A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after colliding with a car in Colchester.
The accident occurred at a busy junction during the rush hour period at approximately 5pm when emergency services were called to the scene.
The accident between the car and a motorcycle meant that the road had to be closed for some time while paramedics tended to the injured parties at the roadside.
The motorcycle rider, who is in his 30s, was taken to the local General hospital for further treatment for his injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening. The driver of the car was not thought to be hurt.
