Lasting power of attorney (LPA) forms have been made easier

The Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) forms changed back at the beginning of July with the aim of making them clearer and easier to complete.

The changes affect LPAs relating to property, financial and health and welfare affairs and the main improvements are as follows:

  • There is no need for a second certificate provider.
  • Forms have been redesigned to make them easier to understand, quicker to complete and they also co-ordinate well with the online LPA service which is a valued service to solicitors as it support their processes.
  • You can still use the old forms up until 1st January 2016 if you prefer but the new forms are already available.

There have been no alterations to enduring powers of attorney (EPA) forms at this time.

Find out how a Lasting Power of Attorney could help you.

It is worth taking the time now to discuss what options are available to you so that you may have peace of mind and reassurance that your affairs will be well looked after should anything happen to you. If you would like to know more, or would like to book an initial consultation simply contact our Lasting Power of Attorney solicitors. We are happy to arrange to visit you at home.
