Cheshire Fire and Rescue had to be called to a scene of a collision in a Chester suburb following an accident involving three cars.
Emergency services, including three emergency ambulances, a rapid response team and an air ambulance, were called to the scene at around 6pm during rush hour.
The Fire and Rescue services were called to cut two women free from their cars and then had their injuries assessed and were airlifted to hospital. A man and another woman from another vehicle were also taken to hospital to have their injuries assessed and receive treatment.
Rush hour, whether its morning or evening is always a busy time and with the morning and nights getting darker and general road conditions worsening, with the autumnal weather, it is sadly a time when road traffic accidents increase. Slippery roads and poor visibility effect stopping distances and extra care should be taken by drivers in the colder months.
