A cyclist was in a collision with a truck on a busy A road, during rush hour. An ambulance, rapid response vehicle and advanced paramedics attended the scene at approx. 8.38am and arrived promptly to find an injured cyclist and a Mercedes tipper truck.
The 53 year olds cyclist’s injuries were found to be serious and an Air ambulance was summoned to take him to Hospital quickly. Motorists were advised to avoid area after Police had to secure the area to allow the Ambulance to land
A Cheshire police spokesperson said: “At 8.38am, police received reports of a road traffic collision involving a truck and a cyclist.
“On arrival, officers found a Mercedes tipper truck had been in collision with the cyclist at the junction.
“The cyclist, a 53-year-old man, was airlifted to hospital with injuries that are thought to be serious.
“Road closures are currently in place, motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.”
