At Thorneycroft Solicitors we have always recognised the importance of Air ambulances after a serious road traffic accident occurs and yet again the Air ambulance crews have come to rescue after a road accident involving a lorry and a number of cars.
Emergency services were called after multiple collisions occured just before 9am on a major road leading to a motorway and 2 air ambulances had to land close to the site to deal with the number of injuries.
A Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are currently dealing with a seven-vehicle road traffic collision on the … which took place at about 8.40 am this morning.
Paramedics tended to the injured whilst Police secured the accident scene to allow ambulance crews access. The extent of the injuries are not known at this stage but some people are thought to be seriously hurt.
