Congratulations to PBM Ducati rider and Thorneycroft Solicitors sponsored athlete, Christian Iddon, who bagged his first Bennetts British Superbike Championship win this weekend.
Snetterton Circuit played host to rounds four, five and six as part of #BSBRestart and having started in seventh place on the grid, he made a dream start which saw him claim second place after lap one.
In a race that saw pole-sitter Danny Buchan crash out and Christian’s teammate Josh Brookes, battle him for the win, Christian showed his experience and skills to take his first-ever win in round 4.
Speaking to his fans in his newsletter Christian Said:
“It’s been a long time coming and a long old road, so to finally get the win is brilliant. Paul Bird and the VisionTrack Ducati team put their faith in me when other people weren’t so sure, but Paul was, and I really appreciate that so hopefully this is just the beginning.
“I made a mediocre start but with all the shenanigans at the first few corners, I moved up to second and when Danny fell in front of me, I felt pretty good leading. I misread my board and almost celebrated too early but I got the head back down and, like I say, hopefully, this is the start of things to come.”
The years of dedication and hard work that Christian has put into his career so far shows just how much he deserved this win and everyone at Thorneycroft Solicitors are extremely proud of his achievements this weekend and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds.
Christian’s results this weekend see him currently sat in third place in the overall standings for the season with Silverstone coming up next on 4-6 September.
Fingers crossed it’ll be another great weekend!
