Every year the North East Cheshire Business Awards are dedicated to celebrating the success, talent and indeed, all that’s good about business. There are 10 award categories which are open to entry from business all across the North East of Cheshire, including Knutsford, Macclesfield, Wilmslow and surrounding areas. The North East Cheshire Business Awards is an event where local businesses and individuals can celebrate and reward the outstanding achievement and a positive contribution to the local business community.

A cyclist has been seriously injured after colliding with a vehicle on a busy bridge. The accident happened during rush hour at about 8.20 am and the road had to be closed to allow an air ambulance to land.

A teenager is fighting for his life after being found on the tarmac in the early hours of the morning. Emergency services responded to calls of an incident at around 1am and a rapid response paramedic team arrived to find a man in a serious condition.
Following the Poly Implant breast implant scandal, The Royal College of Surgeons has produced information to guide cosmetic surgeons on preparing for certification in Spring next year. Surgeons will have to show that they are qualified and competent to perform specific cosmetic procedures and this will involve applying for ‘certification’ and demonstrating they have the necessary training and experience.
Charges were brought by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) against the Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust (now defunct) relating to the deaths of Patrick Daly, Edith Bourne, Ivy Bunn and Lillian Tucker.
A logistics company was fined £20,000 after a worker was hit by a fork-lift truck. The accident happened in a busy yard whereby a forklift truck reversed into him and he sustained serious head injuries.
