A busy road leading in to Burnham-on-sea was closed this week after an accident involving two motorists.
Police closed Queen’s Drive after a motorbike and a car collided on the top of a railway bridge.
One of the motorists was flown to hospital in an air-ambulance and the second was taken to Weston General Hospital by road.
The incident caused lengthy delays for drivers in the area as police cleared up the scene.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers were called to a collision involving a motorbike and a car at around 1.45pm.
“The air ambulance was also called and an injured person was flown to hospital with suspected serious injuries.”
The Police also confirmed that a full investigation in to the cause of the accident had begun.
