As the death toll rises to 11, more than double the figure of 2012, North Yorkshire police are warning motorcyclists to slow down and become increasingly aware of the dangers of motorbikes.
Last week saw three motorbike accident fatalities alone. North Yorkshire’s chief constable has spoken out against bikers risking their lives on the country’s roads, claiming “while of course we want them to come to North Yorkshire, we don’t want them going home in a box.”
This warning is spurred by the high level of motorcycle accidents on Britain’s roads this year, particularly in Yorkshire- a county renowned for its racing roads and tracks.
