Dental surgery sued after drill bit left inside patients jaw

A woman has been left in a very delicate position after a tiny drill bit snapped off inside her tooth whilst a dentist was performing a root canal procedure. An X-ray showed a 8mm fragment of dental drill lodged in her jaw bone.

GDC investigates dentist after out-of-court settlement of £30,000

The General Dental Council (GDC) has started an investigation into a Dental surgery after it agreed to an out-of-court settlement following a two year legal battle against one of its dentists at the surgery by an ex patient.
