On Friday 18th of May, our team donned their hats for Headway as part of Action for Brain Injury Week.
There were some weird and wonderful entries this year, but all were in aid of Headway – the brain injury association, and we’re proud to announce that the team’s efforts helped raise £79 for the charity that helps brain injury survivors.
The aim of Hats for Headway Day, which is an annual event, is to wear a hat (the wackier the better) and donate. It’s designed as a fun and simple way to raise money for a charity that provides an outstanding service to those who have acquired a brain injury, as well providing support to their friends and family.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Headway – the brain injury association, here is a brief introduction to the charity and the work they do.
Headway is a UK-wide charity that aims to improve the lives of those living with a brain injury. They have more than 125 branches and groups across the UK, which provide support and information to brain injury survivors, carers, medical professionals and legal representatives.
Their aim is to ensure that every brain injury survivor achieves the best quality of life by providing rehabilitative services, publications and approved residential homes and rehabilitative units that specialise in acquired brain injuries.
