Mark Belfield is working with Lane End Primary School again this year to help promote Road Safety Week (17-23 November). The theme of this year’s campaign is ‘Look out for each other’. It’s all about consideration: car drivers are being urged to slow down, and pedestrians and cyclists are being encouraged never to take chances and to make sure they can easily be seen.
The school is teaming up with the Brain Injury Group (BIG) to promote road safety, and inviting the children to get creative – and competitive – either by designing a cycle helmet or by colouring and making up a block-figure – wearing a cycle helmet, of course! The competition will be judged by Mark along with a member of staff, and the winning entries will be awarded prizes including Halfords vouchers and road safety gear.
