Thorneycroft Solicitors are delighted to announce that they have acquired the well-respected Leathems Solicitors practice which is based in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire.
Thorneycroft Solicitors was established in 1990 and with offices in Macclesfield, Buxton and Holmes Chapel they already service the legal requirements of a large client base in the Cheshire and Derbyshire areas, as well as across the UK as a whole.
Thorneycroft Solicitors Managing Director Rachel Stow, who is herself a High Peak resident, is delighted to have acquired Leathems, as she recognises the respect with which the firm is held within the local area and beyond.
She commented “Christopher Leathem is a well respected member of the local legal community and for over 30 years he has provided his clients with a first class legal service. We have been keen to acquire the right type of business, that compliments ours, within the High Peak and when this opportunity became available we knew that it was right for both us and Leathems current clients.”
She went on to add “in addition to Chris, who will remain with the firm until later this year, Leathems have a strong team who I know will bring value to our business.”
Chris Leathem explained why he had chosen Thorneycroft Solicitors as the people to hand over to.
“Having worked in this area for so long, and with many clients who we have worked with for two or three decades, as well as several generations of the same families, I wanted to hand over to a firm who also had client service at the forefront of their philosophy and core values. Thorneycroft can continue to provide advice in all of the areas that Leathems have done, whilst also offering many other services as well.”
Leathems office at 12 Market Street, Whaley Bridge will shortly undergo a rebrand and become Thorneycroft Solicitors fourth office.
Clients will be able to access legal advice on a wide range of matters including Family matters, Wills and Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Residential and Commercial Conveyancing, employment matters and Clinical negligence, as well as all areas of Personal Injury claims including road traffic accidents and accidents at work.
Appointments can be made by calling the Whaley Bridge office on 01663 733 431
