Daniel King, a Senior Proclaim Developer and a member of the Thorneycroft Solicitors IT department will be lacing up and running to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Dan is running in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 29th March and he is hoping to raise £300 for the charity.
The British Heart Foundation is a charity that is very important to Dan and his family, following his father’s heart attack.
Dan said: “My dad nearly died of a heart attack a few years ago, it was one of several things that opened my eyes to health.”
“I want to be there for my wife Catherine and son Joshua as he gets older. Losing weight and being healthier will hopefully reduce the risks of heart problems and diabetes. (both things that worried me when I was so heavy).”
“I really want to support the British Heart Foundation, they do excellent work, and need us to help them to do this.”
“A half marathon is way outside my comfort zone, so I appreciate the support of family and friends. If you can contribute either with pledges here or just moral it’s all appreciated.”
Dan would love your support. You can learn more about his story and offer your support by clicking here and donating.
