Associate Director, Head of Property
Christine studied Law in Manchester. Christine previously worked as a Manager at a firm in Manchester before joining Thorneycroft Solicitors in February 2019 having over 20 years of experience in Conveyancing. Christine deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity and equity release, shared ownership conveyancing, estate agency referral work and more complex title transactions. Christine's department provides a pro-active service to ensure a swift conclusion and high quality experience throughout. The team has a wealth of conveyancing experience and will be able to assist with any queries which you may have. In her spare time, Christine keeps busy spending time with her grandchildren and going for walks with her husband, Glenn, and their dog, Monty. Solicitor, Head of Conveyancing
Chris is a Solicitor and Head of the Conveyancing Department, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the team. He qualified as a solicitor in 2006, having first completed a Business Management degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. He then went on to obtain both the Post Graduate Diploma in Law (CPE) and the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Staffordshire University. Chris specialises in residential conveyancing and also handles commercial property transactions. He works closely with estate agents and fellow solicitors to ensure that every buying or selling process runs as smoothly and stress-free as possible for clients. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Sienna Blue. He is also a keen gym-goer and cyclist, having recently taken part in a charity bike ride from Morecambe to Bridlington.
Leslie joined Thorneycroft’s in 2006 as a Claims Handler within the New Business Department, where he dealt with the first notification from clients who had been involved in accidents and taking all new enquiries he then became the Manager of this department before becoming the New Client Manager in 2024. As the New Client Manager, Leslie is now responsible for processing all new claims for the Personal Injury Department and assessing and obtaining quotes for all Conveyancing matters.
Grace qualified as a Solicitor in 2018 having completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester in 2016. Grace re-joined Thorneycrofts in June 2025 having now had two children and is based in the Holmes Chapel Office. Grace specialises in residential conveyancing dealing with sales and purchases, new builds, unregistered properties, help to buy, transfer of equity and remortgages. Post Completion Administration Assistant
Jane joined Thorneycroft Solicitors in October 2022 as a Post Completion Administration Assistant, Jane will be corresponding with clients to provide updates and assisting members of the conveyancing team with administration support. Prior to joining Thorneycroft Solicitors Jane gained a wealth of knowledge working in various client facing roles. In her spare time Jane enjoys travelling, running and spending time with her family.
Lisa joined Thorneycroft Solicitors conveyancing department in March 2025. Lisa completed the Council for Licensed Conveyancers distance learning course qualifying as a Licenced Conveyancer in August 2013 but has worked within the industry for 35+ years. Lisa can handle all aspects of residential conveyancing including sale, purchase, transfer of equity, equity release, shared ownership, remortgages, leasehold and help to buy. In her spare time Lisa enjoys reading, walking, cross stitching, crafting, cricket, caravanning and socialising
Tina has been a legal professional for over 33 years. She joined Thorneycroft Solicitors in 1994 at our office in Holmes Chapel, working her way up to become the Conveyancing Manager, before moving to our head office in Macclesfield to pursue a career in Personal Injury. She has now returned to work in our Conveyancing department as a Paralegal, supporting our senior fee earners with residential and commercial property matters.
Kamila joined Thorneycroft Solicitors in July 2011 as a New Business Assistant. Having spent over 10 years working within Personal Injury department she has progressed to become a Legal Secretary, Paralegal Assistant and a Litigation Executive before joining the conveyancing department in April 2022. Since then, Kamila has completed the CLC level 4 Diploma Qualifications and started the CLC Diploma Level 6 to become a Licenced Conveyancer. In her spare time Kamila enjoys attending sport events, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Claire joined Thorneycrofts in 2020 as a New Client Assistant working within the personal injury team before joining the Conveyancing Department in 2024. Claire assists the team in taking new enquiries, sending out client quotations and initial paperwork. In her spare time Claire enjoys going for walks with her friends, football and musicals.
Gregory joined Thorneycrofts conveyancing department in May 2025. He supports the team by liaising with clients, preparing documentation and assisting with property completions. Gregory is currently studying to become a licenced conveyancer demonstrating his dedication to developing his expertise. In his spare time Gregory enjoys reading, cooking and walking. Jennifer joined Thorneycroft Solicitors in April 2025 as a conveyancing legal assistant for our residential conveyancing department. Jennifer assists the team in taking dealing with new matters, liaising with clients and preparing conveyancing documents. In her spare time Jennifer enjoys walking and trekking with her husband, embroidery, reading and swimming.
