Summary of Results:
Our latest survey was completed in June 2025 and a summary of the results from respondents is shown below:
- 18% of respondents are male, 80% female and 2% prefer not to say.
- The largest proportion of our staff fall within the 35-44 age bracket (37%). Followed by a quarter in both the 45-54 and 55-64 years old brackets (25% each). 9% of staff are 25–34, and 2% in the 16–24 age bracket.
- The majority of respondents identify as heterosexual, and 4% disclosed their sexual orientation as gay/lesbian or bisexual, with 7% preferring not to say.
- 93% of respondents confirmed they do not consider themselves to have a disability, 2% confirmed they have and 5% preferred not to say.
- The majority of staff confirmed their day-to-day activities were not limited as a result of a disability or condition, and the remaining respondents (7%) preferred not to say.
- 82% of respondents are white British ethnicity. Other ethnicities reported are Indian, African, Caribbean, White and Asian, White and Black African, and other Mixed/Multiple ethnic backgrounds, overall representing 14% of our responses. The rest of respondents preferring not to say.
- Our respondents reported Christian (66%) and Muslim (2%) religious beliefs, with 30% reporting no religion or belief.
- 89% of respondents attended UK state schools (23% being selective); 5% attended independent/fee-paying schools and 2% attended school outside of the UK.
- 27% of respondents are a primary carer for a child/children under 18.
- 9% of respondents said they care for someone with long-term physical or mental ill health, and 5% preferred not to say.
