The new Matrimonial Solicitor will work across all offices and they will work alongside the Heads of Department in each Private Client discipline.
Qualifications/Experience
- Qualified Solicitor and/or Legal Executive
- Have excellent knowledge of all areas of Family Law and experience of providing high quality advice (at least 5 years post qualification experience)
Department Specific Requirements
- Provide the highest quality advice across a range of privately funded family law matters and disputes including divorce and financial remedy issues, children and injunction matters, surrogacy, cohabitee disputes and pre and post nuptial agreements
- Face to face contact with clients and provide accurate, prompt, realistic and relevant advice in response to clients’ enquiries whilst also managing their expectations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Being involved with marketing yourself, the department and the firm, supported by our Marketing department to win new clients and build branch awareness
- Maintaining effective time management
- Respond to clients’ urgent requirements empathetically and proactively
- Have an ability and willingness to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and other departments within the firm
- Strong drafting and advocacy skills
- Responsible for the dynamic and profitable growth of our current Family & Matrimonial department in all offices
- Ensuring that the department is compliant with all SRA, firm policies, and any other policy or certification that is approved by the Board
- To ensure the department hit’s budget year on year
- To ensure that the department record all of their time
- Attendance at meetings with Board members to answer for the performance of the department. To cascade all Board and management information in a proactive and resolute manner as required
- Travel to all offices on a weekly basis
- Ensure that you keep fully up to date with the law and any changes.
