On the 20th of May, thousands of people will be pounding the pavements of Manchester in the Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run.
Lacing up and joining the thousands of runners racing through the streets of Manchester will be three of our very own team from Thorneycroft Solicitors.
Taking on the 10k race will be one of our Directors and the Head of our Serious Injury department, Mark Belfield, Marketing and Events Manager Natasha Scragg and Family Law Solicitor Claire Gatley.
All three team members will be running to raise funds for Headway – the brain injury association and BASIC (Brain and Spinal Injury Centre), 2 fantastic charities that we as a firm are proud to work alongside and support.
For those of you who are unaware of these two amazing charities, they are both based in the UK and are focused on helping victims who have suffered brain injuries as well as their families, a cause that is close to our hearts as a firm as we have seen first hand the effect a brain injury can have on someone’s life..
Having worked closely with both of these charities in recent years, our team taking on the Great Manchester 10k are thrilled to be able to fundraise and help support both organisations and help them continue the fantastic work they do.
As well as the run itself, there will also be a fundraising event held after the race on Friday, June 1st, at the Tytherington Club in Macclesfield from 7pm until late.
Entry to the event will be by ticket only which will cost £5 each. As well as granting entry to the event, the ticket will also come with a complimentary welcome drink on arrival and food.
If you can’t make the event or you would like to show additional support for Natasha, Claire and Mark you can make a donation and sponsor them on their run.
If you would like to support our team, you can donate to either charity via their fundraising pages.
