Brake Road Safety Week is an annual initiative coordinated by Brake the road safety charity and this year Thorneycroft Solicitors will be showing our support with a week-long schedule of activities to help both staff and members of the local community step up for safe streets.
Between November 18th-24th the firm will host a number of activities and initiatives to help increase awareness of various aspects relating to road safety.
On November 20th, we will be joined by Andrew Drewary of Road Safety Smart, who will be presenting a lunchtime seminar and discussing the dangers of fatigue whilst driving.
The Head of our Employment & HR team, Nicola Clarke will also share her insight into the legal implications for businesses that have employees who may be susceptible to driver fatigue.
Local business owners are invited to attend this invaluable seminar at our head office in Macclesfield.
If you’d like to book a free place and attend the seminar, please email [email protected]
On November 22nd, our staff will also learn more about what to do if you’re the first person to arrive at the scene of a motorcycle accident’ courtesy of Matt Bill from Biker Down Derbyshire and Tom Rowlands from Upright Derbyshire.
The Catastrophic Injury team will also be sharing daily reminders and facts with the wider members of the firm relating to improving road safety.
Mark Belfield, a Director of Thorneycroft Solicitors and the Head of our Catastrophic Injury team will also be attending a local primary school to judge a road safety picture competition, with a prize to be awarded to the winner courtesy of the firm.
