An accident between two vehicles has occured at a busy road junction at approximately 6.30pm, during rush hour. Emergency services attended including paramedics, police and fire crews and were on site to assist the two injured parties.
According to reports from the Police, one of the drivers suffered life-changing injuries, whilst the other driver of the Seat Leon was taken to hospital but she was not seriously injured and was discharged in the early morning. The accident was so serious that the Fire crews needed to use hydraulic equipment to free the injured man from the Citroen Picasso.
A Police spokesman for said: “The man has now been transferred to ……..Hospital with head injuries and life-changing injuries.”
Roads were closed whilst accident investigators assessed the scene and the Highways Agency repaired damaged railings at the junction.
