Woman lucky to escape car accident without serious injury

A woman from Somerset has been told that she was lucky to escape a car accident without serious injuries.

Her car overturned on the B3139 Bath Road, North of South Horrington near Wells.

The road was closed fro several hours while the car was removed from the scene.

Passengers of busses which used the road were also forced to walk from Frome to Wells following the smash.

Police, Ambulance and Fire Crews all attended the scene of the accident.

A spokesperson from the force said, “The woman overturned her car just after 6pm on Friday.”

“In the incident her car rolled onto its roof, however the driver managed to escape without injury.

“There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.”

The driver was taken to hospital via an ambulance but was discharged the same day.
