An Ambulance Service spokesperson commented: “Crews were called to reports of a two car road traffic collision.
“On arrival at the scene crews found a man, believed to be the driver of one of the vehicles out of his car and a woman of a second car who was trapped in her vehicle.
“Emergency services worked closely together for approximately an hour and a half to safely extricate the woman from her vehicle. The woman was treated for leg, pelvic and spinal injuries. She was given pain relief and fully immobilised at the scene.
