A young motorcyclist has been involved in a road traffic accident on a busy road.
The incident happened at approx. 8.30 in the morning when emergency services were immediately called to the accident scene.
The young man, believed to be in his teens, received emergency pain relief from the ambulance crews for his discomfort and checked his head, neck and limbs for signs of trauma. He was found to have sustained a hip injury as a result of the accident and was transported to the nearby general hospital for further treatment.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
