A taxi driver was assaulted by two of his passengers after picking them up from a city centre at around 12.30am and then taking them to their destination.
When the taxi reached the drop off point an altercation occurred which left the taxi driver physically assaulted. Police are appealing for witness from the taxi rank and the drop off point to help identify the attackers.
A South Wales Police spokesman said: “While the taxi was stopped in ….. an altercation took place which resulted in the driver being assaulted and the men running off.
“The suspects are described as being aged in their 30s and were wearing work clothes, including dirty jeans, light coloured t-shirts and working boots. It is believed they had been drinking in the city centre on Saturday night.”
