A student had to be taken to hospital this week following an accident at a Leisure centre in Monmouth.
The incident is believed to have happened on tuesday afternoon, and eye witnesses reported that both Ambulance crews and police were visible outside the building.
A spokesperson from the Monmouthshire Council said: “We are able to confirm that a Monmouth Comprehensive student was injured today in an accident at Monmouth Leisure Centre.
“The accident took place in the changing rooms prior to a games lesson. The student has been taken to hospital.
“The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has been informed and will be leading an investigation into the incident.
No details have been released about the accident yet, but specialists already believe there could be a case for claiming compensation if the HSE find a problem.
