A Scottish motorcyclist was taken to hospital last week after a serious accident with a car.
The rider is thought to have suffered various head injuries after he collided with a silver people carrier at a busy junction in Edinburgh.
The motorbike accident victim was immediately taken to hospital where he is now receiving treatment for his injuries.
No more details about the people involved in the accident have been made available, but it is thought that the motorbike rider was the only person injured.
Lothian and Borders Police closed the road to carry out further investigations in to the cause of the accident.
