A Plymouth girl who was hit by a car has been told she was lucky to escape without suffering serious personal injury.
The accident happened on the Budshead Road in Whitleigh just after 5pm on Friday.
Police confirmed that the youngster had not suffered, “life-changing injuries” after the collision.
A spokesperson confirmed that the girl was take for X-rays on her leg and was kept in hospital overnight.
“The casualty did not suffer any injuries which are life-threatening or changing,” they later told press.
The road was closed for half an hour after the accident as police carried out investigations.
No-one else was thought to be hurt in the incident.
