An orthodontist who is member of the International Association for Orthodontics and owner of his own practice, has been charged with dental negligence.
The orthodontist recently settled an undisclosed sum to be paid in full to former patient who suffered incorrect treatment for a number of years.
The patient was left with a gap in between her bottom front teeth and her upper molars were completely misaligned. The orthodontist fitted implants and a retainer to try and improve the alignment but this also proved unsuccessful. The girl must now undergo restorative treatment to successfully realign her teeth which will take a number of years to complete.
Dental negligence specialist, stated he was happy to help the girl during her suffering and said that she was a victim of substandard dental care. He went on to say that the charged orthodontist had taken advantage of her case.
The girl went on to say that she can “put the worries about her teeth far behind her and finally have them fixed.”
