A new survey has revealed just how keen Australian women are to go under the knife in order to alter or improve their visual appearance.
According to a new report by News Talk ZB, almost one third of women in the country admitted that they would be willing to have plastic surgery/cosmetic surgery in order to get their ideal shape.
Researchers found that the vast majority of women in Australia aren’t happy with the way they look with only four per cent of the women surveyed saying they were satisfied with their appearance.
Almost half the females that took part in the survey said they believed that having a better shaped body would drastically improve their lives.
However its not just women who are investing in the treatments. An increasing number of men are also paying for treatments such as Botox to help reduce the signs of ageing.
By the end of the year it is anticipated that consumers in Australia will have spent just under $7bn (£4.4bn) on their appearance.
