An Oxfordshire MP who lost control of his Mercedes and smashed in to parked cars, a bollard and a portable toilet will not face any criminal charges it has been confirmed.
The MP was trying to park his car in Banbury last month when it began to creep forward.
A spokesperson for the Thames Valley Police said that they had investigated the crash and deemed that it was an accident.
The MP was breathalised at the time but the results were negative.
The 62-year-old said he was “lucky to be unhurt” after the crash.
