A motorbike rider and passenger from Staffordshire are in a serious condition after a crash this week.
The man and woman were both taken to University Hospital North Staffordshire with life-threatening injuries after their Triumph motorcycle collided with a Renault Scenic on Weston Road.
Local Police attended the scene with paramedics and an air ambulance. Two nearby off-duty paramedics who happened to be near the crash also helped treat the victims.
A spokesperson from the Ambulance services said: “Crews arrived to find a motorcycle and a car that had been in a significant collision.
“The man and woman who were travelling on the motorcycle both suffered multiple serious injuries.”
The family which were traveling in the Scenic walked away from the accident without injury.
Police confirmed that they are treating the smash as a serious road traffic collision and are urging anyone with information to come forward and help them with their investigation.
