Police in Dumfries, Galloway have appealed for witnesses after a serious car accident involving a car and a truck designed for carrying livestock.
The accident is believed to have happened around 07:20 on the B723 near Hoddom.
The local Force is now carrying out an investigation into the cause of the accident and has asked for anyone that might have information to come forward to help.
The accident involved a green Peugeot 206 car and a white Mercedes livestock carrier.
The driver of the Peugeot was taken to the Southern General Hospital for treatment for their injuries after the collision.
Police have told drivers to temporarily avoid the route if possible as long delays have been anticipated.
