Police are requesting for witnesses of a serious motorcycle accident to come forward.
The accident in Dolgellau, which has left man fighting for his life, was reported at 1.20pm and as yet it is unknown as to whether any other vehicles were involved.
The motorcyclist has sustained serious, life threatening, injuries and is currently being treated at Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital in Bangor.
North Wales Police Inspector Peter Roberts, said: “At 1.20pm yesterday, North Wales Police attended a report of serious, single-vehicle road traffic accident on the A494 near Rhydymain, Dolgellau involving a silver, Yamaha motorcycle.”
“The male rider sustained life-threatening injuries following the collision. He was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “A rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance attended the scene and a man in his 50s was airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd.”
