A Cheshire woman was driven to hospital after a car accident which left her trapped inside her car.
Eye witnesses reported how school children waiting for a bus had to jump to avoid being hit after the Peugeot bounced off a wall across the road to where they were stood.
Off-duty paramedics were the first on the scene and firemen were then called to cut the woman out of the car.
“She didn’t look too badly injured but the paramedic asked us to get her out of the car with a long board because she was complaining of pain in her back and neck,” said Crew Manager James Bell.
“We had to cut the roof of the car off to get her out safely before she was handed over to the care of an ambulance crew.”
Another driver who was near to the accident at the time it happened explained that she had to swerve to avoid a collision.
Enquiries in to the cause of the car accident are still being made.
