3 people have been injured after three vehicles were involved in a road traffic accident which resulted in one woman having to be cut out of her car, another woman, her passenger and one year old baby being taken to hospital for assessment.
The accident occurred at approximately 3pm and involved a VW Polo, a Seat Exeo and a BMW 320. The 77 year old driver of the VW Polo was seriously injured and had to be cut free from her vehicle by fire crews. Her condition is being described as serious but not life threatening.
The driver and passengers of the Seat were taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries but were later discharged. The BMW driver was shaken but was unhurt.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.
