Travelling from Salzburg to Vienna in September is many people’s idea of a lovely getaway, but what would you think about making the trip which is over 200 miles long, on the back of your bike?
That’s what 2 amazing women are doing to raise funds for charity.
Claire Thorneycroft, who is the wife of Robert Thorneycroft who founded the firm and is a Director, and her friend Fi, will be taking on the epic challenge and pushing themselves by cycling the whole route between September 24-29 in order to raise money for Prevent Breast Cancer.
They will be funding the trip themselves, meaning that every penny you donate goes straight to Prevent Breast Cancer.
Claire and Fi decided to take on the challenge saying: “We all know someone sadly touched by Cancer, and as women and mothers of daughters we feel very passionate about the early prediction and prevention of Breast Cancer. We are also lucky to have this Charity based in Wythenshawe on our doorstep”.
Prevent Breast Cancer is the only UK charity dedicated to predicting and preventing breast cancer before it happens, and their aim is to eradicate cancer from the world entirely.
They hope to save lives by promoting early diagnosis and encouraging early screenings and lifestyle changes in order to stop the disease before it even has a chance to take hold.
By donating and helping Claire and Fi meet their fundraising target of £1,000, you too could help prevent breast cancer and help those in need get the support that is so vital.
