A driver had to be removed from their car on a spinal board after a low speed impact between two vehicles occurred at 6am. Emergency services responded to 999 calls to find one person injured and another badly shaken.
The road traffic accident between the two cars, happened at a junction, and the crash caused Police to close roads for a hour whilst the injured driver was transported to hospital and also to clear the vehicles and debris from the road.
Although the paramedics removed the driver using a spinal board, this was a precautionary measure and their injuries were not thought to be life changing.
One eye witness reported: “It was the car right in front of me. No serious injuries, but both car engines were torn to pieces blocking the road completely.”
