Today marks the start of Headways Action for Brain Injury Week 2022. A week-long campaign that aims to increase understanding and general awareness of the effects of a brain injury.
Headway is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of brain injury survivors. They have over 125 branches across the UK that provide assistance and information to victims of traumatic brain injuries and their families. Their aim is to raise awareness of the issues related to brain injuries and also to work with professionals in the healthcare and legal fields.
This year their campaign ‘hidden me’ focuses on the hidden side of brain injuries. They aim to highlight the often misunderstood symptoms of a brain injury and work to encourage survivors to speak out about the obstacles and frustrations that arise in daily life.
Survivors of more serious brain injuries are more likely to develop complex long-term effects that affect their personality, relationships, and ability to live independently. Giving brain injury survivors a voice to tell their stories will also allow their friends, families, and colleagues to better understand the battles that come with such a serious injury.

We work with Headway to offer vital information and support to our clients that have suffered brain injuries. We work with them both during the claims process as well as after a settlement has been achieved, to ensure that each client secures the rehabilitative care and support they may need to allow them to have the best quality of life for both themselves and their loved ones.
