The criminal injuries claim process
Criminal injury compensation claims are different to most other personal injury claims. In other areas of personal injury the 3rd party insurers will usually agree to pay an amount after deliberation with the personal injury solicitor. With a criminal injury claim there are 25 levels of compensation and the award is determined by the injuries suffered.
Criminal injuries are compensated for by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA). At Thorneycroft Solicitors our criminal injury team are specially trained and have a full understanding of the scheme and compensation rules in order to ensure a successful outcome for our clients.
You may be able to claim for a range of different items, including pain and suffering, loss of earnings, medical costs, personal effects and out of pocket expenses.
No Win - No Fee criminal injury claims
Our criminal injury solicitors have consistently achieved excellent results for our clients and remain dedicated to maximising the potential compensation available. Wherever possible there is emphasis on reaching an early compensation agreement or interim payment to help with any expenses resulting from the injury that has been suffered.
We offer a free initial interview in order to review your specific circumstances and assess the viability of your personal injury claim. After this, the majority of claims are dealt with on a
no win – no fee basis.
