Rachel Stow Addresses Key Professionals at Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust Seminar
Over 30 professionals working in the field of acquired brain injury attended a special seminar on sex, drugs and alcohol and the Mental Capacity Act last week.
Organised by Redford Court, BIRT's specialist rehabilitation centre in the Northwest, the seminar included speakers from the clinical team at Redford Court and Rachel Stow, Managing Director of Thorneycroft Solicitors, who sponsored the event.
Rachel Stow provided a legal perspective on capacity and consent, which complemented other topics addressed within the seminar including relationships and lifestyle choices.
Dr Ivan Pitman, Consultant in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation at Redford Court, commented "We are delighted to have worked together with Thorneycrofts to provide such a successful event. This is Redford Court's third annual seminar, and feedback from delegates has shown that the subjects we addressed were extremely useful for professionals working in brain injury."
